A private residence in Colleyville - Green Thumb designed & installed a Moss Bouldler - lined creekbed to control the water flow through the back yard. The side walls were given extra-deep concrete footers, and then approximately 80 tons of boulders were masoned into place along the walls. A floor of rip-rap & Moss rock was masoned into place, as well as waterfalls and steps across the creekbed. A 'forest-floor' landscape planting compliments the finished results. What a tranquil setting this back yard has become!

This private residence is located in a popular golf-course community in Rowlett, Texas. A past relationship brought Green Thumb the 65 miles through all of that ugly 'Dallas mixmaster' traffic to upgrade this year-old home's exterior. Large boulders help to shape the beds, and cobblestone added a nice touch to the downspout drainage around the exterior of the home. A dynamic mix of flowering ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennials will give this homeowner alot of interest throughout the year. An expanded patio will be capped with Oklahoma flagstone for hours of outdoor enjoyment as the golfers and neighbors walk & drive by........

A new pressure-treated fence, with steel posts & a concrete footer were installed, as well as a custom wrought iron gate. New landscape bordered by chopped Austin Stone compliments a new mid-size Koi pond & waterfall, and a Pavestone patio extension with new St. Augustine sod helps to complete the picture. A private residence in Bedford, Green Thumb Landscape replaced the wood timber retaining wall with a stone wall, replace the rotted fencing with pressure-treated pine panels, added drainage behind the wall as well as area drains, regraded & resodded the St. Augustine back & side yard, and renovated the sprinkler system. The trees were trimmed for health and filtered lighting, and the homeowners were excited to do some new plantings in their new backyard.

The Koi pond was re-dug, creating caves for the Koi to escape from local predatory animals. Also, the planting was completely reworked, and a wooden bridge was replaced with a large Flagstone slab.
